Quarry Health Centre provides confidential and affordable sexual health services for young people in a safe and supportive environment.
We value and respect young people and support their right to quality services. Our staff are here to listen to you.
At Quarry Health Centre we have qualified doctors, Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs), educators and counsellors who can provide you with accurate information so you are able to make your own decisions. We can also inform you of your rights in relation to sexuality and sexual health.
You can come to see us about anything to do with sexual health, including:
- Unplanned pregnancy
- Pregnancy support
- Contraception, including emergency contraception
- Abortion information and referral
- Pap smear screening
- Relationship and sexual health counselling
- Sexually transmissible infection (STI) information and testing
- Breast examinations
- Period problems
- Testicular examinations
- Sexual difficulties
- Sexual identity and orientation
- Sexuality
- Sexual health education and professional training

Costs
Clients pay for any contraceptives, as well as a yearly administration fee of $30.00. For school students and pension or healthcare card holders the cost is $15.00. A small fee applies to our counselling service, unless the issue is unplanned pregnancy, however this fee can be negotiated in cases of financial difficulty.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can call Quarry Health Centre directly and make an appointment with any of our staff. Where possible we will see people that ’drop in' to our clinic, but we ask that you phone ahead to make sure a nurse or doctor is available to see you.

The clinics run at various times during the day so appointments are essential
