         <title><![CDATA[Pap Smear Provider Scholarships 2008]]></title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p align="justify">The WA Cervical Cancer Prevention Program (WACCPP) are offering Pap Smear Provider scholarships to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Aboriginal Health Workers in Western Australia. This scholarship scheme is funded and coordinated by the WACCPP.</p><p align="justify">The WACCPP is jointly funded by the State and Commonwealth Governments. It aims to reduce the incidence and mortality of cervical cancer amongst WA women by recruiting and screening women aged 18 &ndash; 69 years and raising awareness of this disease in the community. As one of the WACCPP Health Promotion and Recruitment strategies, limited scholarships are being offered to health professionals to undertake an accredited Pap Smear Provider course available through FPWA Sexual Health Services.</p><p align="justify">The scholarships will support health professionals by subsidising the cost of the Pap Smear Provider course and/or contributing to travel and accommodation expenses if required. Successful candidates will be awarded up to $2000 to complete the course during 2008.</p><p align="justify"><a href="/services/educationtraining/clinicaled/">See our Clinical Education page for more details...</a></p>]]></description>
